Meetings: the project group meets each Wednesday in blocks 2 and 3 in room D15/0.15.

Time monitoring: All students are required to monitor their work on a weekly basis by using a table (timeline) that contains the following information:

  • dates of the week, e.g. Nov. 1-8, 2017
  • project related tasks (short description of the task) during that week and the time spent on each individual task
  • results / problems
  • if problems : how were they solved?
  • sum up the time during this week
  • sum up the time across all weeks

This table needs to be sent to the project leader (Jack - Jack.mccormack@stud.h-da.de ) and the instructor weekly by 6 p.m. the day before each group meeting, i.e. Tuesdays by 6.00 p.m.

Grading

The basis for the grade of the project will be individual contribution during the meetings but also outside of the classroom, as well as a group effort to finish the project successfully. An oral presentation will be given on January 24, 2018. A written documentation is to be handed in by Feb 28, 2018. In case the final presentation shows that major adjustments need to be made, the project team will et the chance to present a enhanced results the last week of Feb/early March. The exact date needs t.b.a. (and depends on the result on Jan 24)

 

Important dates

  • Nov. 1, 2017 : Kick-Off with external partner Lufthansa
  • Nov. 22, 2017 : Milestone meeting (final research results, first sketch of design - for all sub-teams) - with external partner
  • Dec. 20, 2017 : Milestone meeting (end of design phase, first results of implementation) - with external partner
  • Jan. 24, 2018 : Milestone meeting (final demo)
  • Feb. 28, 2018 : hand in written project documentation (both digitally as well as 2 x hard copies)
