Application Requirements

To apply for the JIM program im Darmstadt you should meet the following requirements:

  • a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Software Engineering or any other closely related field
  • fluent in English (proven by TOEFL score by all applicants with a minimum of 88 points internet-based or IELTS of at least 6.5)
  • basic command of German. Non-native speakers need to have passed the 'Start Deutsch 2' / A2 exam (A2 is the second level of the "Common European Framework of Reference for Languages" / "Kompetenzskala des Gemeinsamen europ├Ąischen Referenzrahmens f├╝r Sprachen").

 

Courses start each fall, i.e. beginn of October.

 

For students with German degree:

The next application deadline is:  September 1.

For students with foreign degree:

Students with a degree obtained outside of Germany have to apply via uni-assist. For more information have a look at our university's homepage where the application process is described. More information about uni-assist can be found online at www.uni-assist.de.
